A traditional agricultural show with classes for sheep, horses, goats, poultry, sheep dog trials, hound trails, dog show, fell races, fell falconry, vintage vehicles, handicrafts and produce, Cumberland & Westmorland wrestling, along with a good number of trade stands.

A full days entertainment for all the family including showing classes of ponies, horses, sheep and dogs. There will also be a display by West Cumbria Vintage Club, Cumberland & Westmorland wrestling, a fell race, sheep clipping and terrier racing. The Cumbria Championship Sheepdog Competition will run throughout the day where spectators can watch the real life one man & his dog.

The show is spread over two fields with an art & craft, food and industrial marquees. In the main field there are over 60 trade stands selling a variety of goods. There are also a variety of children’s amusements.

Whitehaven Weekender brings together live performance, music, street theatre, Pride celebrations, family activities, food, creativity and community in one of the most distinctive settings on the Cumbrian coast.

Saturday focuses on outdoor arts, family friendly activities, walkabout performances and live entertainment across the harbourside. We will be joining the TEGretail market for the day.

There will be loads of activities including emergency services demonstrations, food stalls, vintage cars, stalls, funfair, dog show, live music & much more.

The trawler race starts at 1pm on Saturday.

Penrith Show was first held in 1834, the show has gathered much momentum in recent years.
